Regardless of the fact that testing
products on animals has been debated for a long time, companies argue that
animal testing is good for consumers and the defenders of animal rights argue
that animal testing is cruel.
Firstly, testing products on animals
allows scientists to discover treatments for human diseases. Patients with
cancer and HIV would have no so many treatment options if there was no animal
testing. In addition, it can determine if a drug is safe for humans. Experimental
medications must be tested on animals to avoid injuries to a person or their
death.
On the other hand, some people think
that testing animals is bad because many animals are injured or killed when
scientists test drugs or treatments. A lot of these animals were tested with
substances that actually will never be certified as fit for human use.
Moreover, this costs a lot of money. Along with drug treatment, animals must be
fed and protected in a safe environment.
To sum up, I am in favour of animal
testing because, from my point of view, it’s important for improving humans health
and extend their lives.
